Steel Slabs
Steel Downstream industries such as factories that produce hot rolled coils, sheets, steel pipes, steel plates and etc. Use semi-finished products like Steel Slabs, billets and blooms as their primary product.
Slabs are in flat form and rectangular shape ranging from 160 mm thicknesses and more.
After rolling Slabs and accessing the required thickness, Steel coils /Sheets and other steel forms can be produced.
Steel Slabs are available in stainless, however, the most common is carbon steel. The chemical properties are different, but the important elements are iron, copper, chromium, molybdenum, manganese, nickel and silicon. There are different standard coding for slab production like:
ASTM A615M, GOST ST 49S/SP, ISO 9001 & 14001 – TÜV Nord, As well as some UNS, JIS and CNS standards and etc.
